  3. Cost analysis of Operations Support Systems and control plane issues to enable rapid provisioning, bandwidth on demand services and virtual private optical networks
  4. Performance analysis of traffic engineering and control mechanisms in ATM, IP, and wireless networks
  5. Development and planning of a QoS migration strategy to support future services such as IP VPN, VoIP over next generation IP/DWDM networks.
  6. Development of many adaptive and intelligent techniques to provide QoS guarantees for multimedia traffic in ATM, IP, and 3G mobile networks.
  7. Technical and market analysis studies to carriers (e.g., AT&T, US-WEST, Verizon, Bell South, SBC) on architecture solutions for metro optical networks.
